The President of PlumpJack Group since 2009, Hilary Newsom joined the company as Director of Marketing in 1996 after an early career working in fashion merchandising. These days she collaborates with department heads and oversees operations and marketing of the individual businesses. Passionate about philanthropy since childhood, she is a committed fundraiser and serves on the boards of several charitable organizations.
Jeremy Scherer joined the PlumpJack Group in 1994 and since then has touched virtually every facet of the company. He was named Executive Vice President in 2008 and in 2015 he joined Hilary Newsom as co-President. He’s responsible for the operations and finance of PlumpJack’s portfolio of businesses, as well as targeting new development opportunities. Jeremy brings a wealth of project planning and construction management experience to the company and has been an integral part of PlumpJack’s success and growth.

A longtime wine industry executive, John Conover joined PlumpJack in 1999. Under his direction, PlumpJack has received critical acclaim for our Estate and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon wines, including many 90+ scores. Prior to joining PlumpJack, John held sales, marketing, and management positions with Grgich Hills Cellar, Monticello Cellars, and Lockwood Vineyard.

Milham Wakin joined PlumpJack in 2005, bringing with him more than 27 years of hospitality accounting and finance experience. He's responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting for each of our businesses, which includes overseeing cash and profitability forecasts, advising on business strategies, and ensuring banking and loan compliance.
Vice President of Human Resources
DeeAnn Graffigna is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources Division for
all properties in the PlumpJack Group portfolio. With the assistance of her HR Team, she is responsible for onboarding new team members, benefit administration and all employee focused programs. She works closely with PlumpJack's Co-President Hilary Newsom to develop positive employee relations and career development opportunities. Previous to joining the PlumpJack team in 2016, DeeAnn served
as the HR director at The Carneros Inn for over 12 years.
McKenzie Ward leads marketing for the brand and the individual businesses under the PlumpJack portfolio. She oversees marketing strategy; public relations initiatives; digital marketing efforts; and content marketing.
McKenzie has more than 10 years experience as a hospitality marketing professional, and previously, six years experience in public relations and public affairs, both on the agency side and in-house.
Katie Snider leads the charge on creative design for each of our individual businesses and oversees the brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency. Since joining PlumpJack in 2005, Katie has been involved in all facets of design, including print collateral, digital, logo development, signage and packaging.
Californians know him as the Lieutenant Governor of California. San Franciscans know him as their 42nd mayor. But we know Gavin Newsom as the founder of PlumpJack. Gavin started PlumpJack Wines in 1992, and under his leadership the company grew to include many of the restaurants, wineries, and retail establishments in the current portfolio. He still maintains his role as a partner in PlumpJack, CADE and Odette Wineries and consults with the management team on matters of vision.
